Heavy Rain Causes Flooding, Weather Advisories For Houston Area

It was a messy commute for many drivers who woke up to flooded roads early Tuesday.

As of 8:55 a.m. most of the heavy rain moved out of the Houston area, but KHOU 11 Meteorologist Chita Craft warns more rain is on the way. There’s a 40 percent rain chance on Wednesday, mainly in the morning hours.

A Flash Flood Watch continues for the Houston area until at least Wednesday afternoon.

The City of Houston reports there were 22 water rescues by 6:30 a.m. There were numerous cars flooded in west and northwest Harris County, but so far there are no reports of serious injuries.
