Firefighters freed an 86-year-old woman who wedged her car into a peculiar spot at the library in Tiverton on Wednesday. The silver Pontiac sat on its side, stuck between the Essex Public Library and a 6-foot-high cement wall that drops off the back parking lot. Employees said they heard a loud bang just before noon. "I was just shocked. I ran to the front desk and called 911. There was a woman who was a nurse here. She went outside and talked to her. She said the woman was incredibly calm considering what had happened," said librarian Prudence Fallon.
